Hi I'm looking for some one to do a look up in the Fladbury parish registers, on William Wells mentioned in the 1851 Census as born in Fladbury aged 69 so was born about 1782. Would be most interested to see if any one can pull out any information on William and his parents!??
Many thanks,
Sincerely,
Stephen Saffin.

Hi Stephen,
Family search just shows William christened 6 th Sept 1782 - St Peters Worcester- parents William and Ann.

An online tree gives the parents as William Well and Ann Morgan with no sources or further info

Hi Stephen,
The on-line county baptism index suggests a William WELLS baptised 1782, as Sandra says.
There were WELLS in Fladbury; some 12 being baptised between 1781 and 1808. It may be that his parents moved away to the big city between birth and baptism.
The index at http://www.fhs-online.co.uk/ is a pay to view a transcription site. The search engine, which is powerful gives you just enough to make a basic guess. Want more and you pay.
If normal digging doesn't find William's parent's marriage, it should be in the BMSGH county marriage index (1660-1837), providing they married in Worcestershire.
Cheers
Mike
