Hello,
Is there anybody out there that has knowledge of Gorey cemetery's, that could perhaps keep an eye open for any' Kenny ' gravestones. I would be very grateful, unfortunately I cannot get over to Ireland, so you would be doing me a huge favour.
Many Many Thanks

hi maggiemay2011 I had a look in www.from-ireland.net/free-gravestone-transcriptions for you. loads of Kennys but none from Gorey that I could spot. Looks like its a work in progress so might be worth checking back on it from time to time. conahy :)

Is it specifically Gorey town? Or the Gorey area?
There are Kenny headstones in Craanford cemetery, quite near Gorey .. about 3 miles, maybe

Just a note to keep this thread up-to-date for others.
Maggiemay and I have been exchanging PMs ..
I've sent her some Kenny details from Craanford cemetery, taken from a book covering Monaseed, Craanford, Hollyfort and a few other local cemeteries west of Gorey town.

There are also KENNY Headstones at the Cemetery attached to Christ Church, Gorey. These are on IGP Archives and the link to the Wexford Headstone Page is

I am searching for the burial place of some of my SCOTT family. They died at Gorey late 1880s. Eadaoin, if you have time, could you please check your book for me? That would help me too.
I would also add that I didn't manage to record all the headstones at Christ Church, Gorey. I dropped in there on my way home from Hollyfort having recorded the headstones at this Church. I just ran out of time!

no SCOTT graves noted in the book (Craanford, Kilnahue, Hollyfort, Knockbrandon, Rossminogue or Mount St Benedict).
I had hoped to photograph more headstones in Monaseed in early July, but it's been put off until mid-August. I haven't forgotten.
(and I need to go The CofI graveyard in Portlaw also)

Thanks a million for looking for my Scotts. Any photos/inscriptions you manage to take will always be welcome.

Thank you to joytun for the link included in previous post, r.e. Kenny graves.
I have had a look, but unfortunately they are none of my ancestors. Grrrr so frustrating, lol.
Many Thanks again.
