Hi,

There are a few James Clarke deaths for the 1960's, can't see anything for Morrinsville.   Do you have an age at death that would help find the right one. :D

There is one for 1995 aged 84 years at Morrinsville but a few years later than the one you want.

Cheers

Hi Pcjr,

Can you tell us what the connection is your family, perhaps? His parents, occupation? Did he marry? If so, to whom? Any children?

Any answers will help narrow the search field.

Hello...

No guarantee it's of any use but here are the 1965 to 1968 James' from the BDM website matched where possible to a cemetery website or the Burial Locator CD.

No Morrinsville sorry.

And no guarantee I haven't missed anyone or got someone wrong :)

Regards
Beg

Hi Beg,

I've just been trawling through the NZSG Burial Locator v.2 with the same intent but no obvious choices stand out.

May I suggest Hamilton Cemetery. My aunt and uncle who lived in Morrinsville all their married lives are in the Hamilton Cemetery. :)

The only possibility I can see is James Brown CLARK died 1967 aged 84.

That was the one I had in mind Spades. That is where cremations for that area take place, could be the reason.

According to the Kiwi index CD-ROM he was a retired farmer of Hamilton. His probate (including a will) is held by the Auckland office of Archives New Zealand although I can't see it on Archway.

But he certainly seems to be the only prospect.

Pcjr, you might want to approach the Hamilton and Morrinsville branches of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists to see if they have any information. The North Island list of Branches with contact information is here: http://www.genealogy.org.nz/North_Island_335.aspx

Another possibility.  There is also a tree on Ancestry for a James Clark and two on Mundia for a James Clark, the second one has him down as James William Clark. Died 20 June 1967 at Morrinsville, aged 56.  Born in NZ 26 Feb 1911. There is also a photo of him.

Parents names were William and Violet if it is any help to pcjr.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to get the Probate from Auckland Archives ... just to eliminate him from the list if need be.
