Hi,
Two more photos (the last two I promise), part of a group I received yesterday. We know what family branch they belong to, but not who they are exactly. I wonder if someone would be kind enough to date them for me.
I would also be grateful for a repair (& perhaps a colour).
Thank you very much........JJ Girl

Here is one from me of the little girl

Yvonne, thank you so much, what a beautiful job you've done. I really appreciate your time. She looks beautiful - any idea when the photo might have been taken??
Thanks again.......JJ Girl :)

You're very welcome JJ Girl, :)
I'm not too good on dates, but maybe early 1900's,
the experts won't be long with closer dates,

Thanks Yvonne, I posted my last thank you before the "boy" appeared - he looks great too...
I do love a good mystery!!

Maybe coming in to this a bit late but what sort of card/paper are the originals printed on? Are there any markings etc?
I wouldn't be comfortable with early 1900's on initial viewing. I could be wrong but on the limited information I would be leaning towards late 1800's.
-
Yes it's always best to know what we're looking at particularly around this time. However the girl's hairstyle is typical of the early 1900's.
-
I wouldn't disagree with the hair observation. Like I say, I could be wrong but I on initial fewing I would lean pre 1900. However, a little more information about the print would probably clear it up.

You're welcome JJ Girl, :)
Yes I snuck the boy in afterwards, ;D
they look like brother & sister,

Early 1900s but could we see the whole thing please including the outer corners of the mount?
The boy is wearing eyeliner :) Actually he's been overpainted a bit. Maybe the girl as well, but she doesn't have quite the Kiss effect ;D
Cheers,

Maybe you could look on the 1901 census for a family with son and daughter born early 1990s

Hi Everyone,
Well I popped off to bed (in Australia) and woke up to lots of fantastic information - thanks so much for taking the time to look at these mystery photos.
Thanks Jim for your opinion on the date. "Old Photos" I would love to give you more information about the paper/card but unfortunately all I have is the digital scan - thank you for your expertise.
China & Tree Total - thanks also for your input.....the mystery continues. I've posted another photo of a woman and a baby - that also seems must have been taken around the same time - perhaps they are all part of the same family.
You really should talk more to your Grandparents shouldn't you!
Thanks everyone....JJ Girl.
