Hi I wonder if any one could help me track down the baptism for Martin Mensforth/Mansforth(or similar derivatives). He was born c1730 and married Ann Suddick in 1753 Wolsingham.
Many thanks,
Sandra

Any information regarding Martin would be of interest to me as well. I believe that he is my 6th great grand father.

Hi
it's been a while --- and wondering whether you've located the place of birth and parents
for Martin Mensforth / Mentsforth in about 1730?
On 11 Dec 1753, Martin Mensforth (b. ~1730) married at Wolsingham Durham
to Ann Suddick (b.16 July 1730 daughter of Ann Coalpits & Richard Suddick).
Traditional naming patterns of children suggest Martins parents were Agnes & Edward
where? any clues most welcome
with thanks Laurel

Hi Laurel,
I spent a considerable amount of time searching but was unable to come up with anything concrete. Gave up in frustration and diverted to another side of my family. When I get time I will revisit the chase! The problem was that there were many similar names but no way of differentiating due to lack of evidence.
Cheers

I would look for Wills, that's how I sorted my early ones out
