This is just a quick message to say that Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Archives are having trouble accessing their emails following a change of email provider. Emails sent to archives [at] aberdeencity.gov.uk are being bounced back as undeliverable, and are not getting through.
The Archives would like to apologise for the situation. Aberdeen City Council's IT department are aware of the problem, and are working on it so hopefully things will be back up and running soon. We'll let you know as soon as things are.
Again, apologies for the inconvenience at this time.

Thankfully, our email address is working again! We can now receive emails, but we are having a bit of bother replying to them so we might not respond within the usual 15 working days. At least they're now coming through!
Thank you for your patience, and hopefully it won't be long before we're fully up and running again.

Good luck with the changes and sorting things out. The updates from you will help people understand what is happening which is great :)

Thanks Monica - we're pleased to report that everything is now running as normal! We are now able to both receive and reply to emails.
It's been rather fraught over the last week, but at least it's all ok now - and just in time for the holiday weekend!
We'd like to thank everyone again for their patience.
