Hi folks.

I have Frederick Bailey b.1870. Sandford or Barton, Oxfordshire. (No birth cert obtained).  Suspect he was born Frederick William Bailey. a/m/j 1869. Woodstock Dist.)).??

There is a death in 1899. Woodstock Dist, for him.

He is not found in the 1891 census, but he appears in Sandford, Oxfordshire, in the 1871 census, with mother Sarah Bailey(nee. Bardolph)1827. St Giles, London)), with siblings Robert & Jane.

1881 census, he is in Great Tew, with same relations.

Mother & father(Robert Bailey, c1830. Witham/Wytham, Lincs), are in Nether Worton, Oxfordshire in 1891, with daughter Jane, but no other children.

3 questions. ;)

1). Is there a burial to be found for Frederick Bailey in Great Tew, or Nether Worton, from 1881 - 1899.?
2). Is there a burial for Robert Bailey(his father), between 1891 & 1901, @ Nether Worton.
3). Is there a burial for an Elizabeth Bardolph(sister of Sarah Bailey), in Nether Worton, aged about 79 to 82 years old, from June to September in 1898.?

Sarah Bailey dies in Aston, Warwickshire, in 1902.

Daughter, Jane(Susan Jane)Bailey, marries William Luff, and dies in Luton, Beds.
Son, Robert John Bailey, marries Julia Allen, and lives in Aylesbury, Bucks the rest of their lives.

Any help with those 3 burials would be great. :)

None listed in the ofhs Grt Tew cd.

Unfortunately their Nether Worton burials only seem to go up to 1812 so you may need to check out the originals.

 I have found baptism for Frederick to confirm what you have....

Looking into this a bit more there is this one burial in Sandford and i wonder if this could be another child of Robert and Sarah

4 Aug 1866 Mary Elizabeth Bailey, Sandford, age 5 months

There is no baptism for her here Steve

I would think Mary Elizabeth Bailey(1866) is theirs, and have found the death, but no birth  as yet.

If you are really keen to get Mary Elizabeth's birth details she may have been registered under "Female Bailey". From FreeBMD:-

Births Jun 1866   (>99%)
Bailey    Female         Woodstock    3a   619

Still can't find Frederick Bailey in the 1891 census.   But I suppose I shouldn't be greedy. ;D
