Title: Courts in Manchester...
Post by: whodoithinkiam on Tuesday 23 April 13 21:54 BST (UK)
Hi,

I have a reference to an ancestor's address from a Trade Directory which gives it as 1 Lowe's Court, Garden Street, Manchester. I need to go to Parish records now, as he was born around 1820, but he has a common name and I'm looking for a starting point to my search. There is a Garden Street now, in Eccles. Not sure if this would be an area of courts though.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Denise
