Title: Frances Lawrence, married in Farnham, Surrey, 1803
Post by: Greensleeves on Thursday 18 April 13 15:45 BST (UK)
I don't think my research has brought me onto the Surrey board before!  Anyway, I have found that my 4x great grandfather, Thomas Mattingley (1767-1828) married a Frances Lawrence in Farnham, Surrey on 13th November 1803.  I think Thomas might have been born in Farnham (though I have no proof), and certainly he died there in the July quarter of 1828 and was buried on 8th July of that year.

So far I have been unable to find anything whatsoever about Frances Lawrence - other than her name and the date of her marriage -  so I don't know if she was born in Farnham or not; but if anyone could discover anything at all about her I would be most grateful to hear from you.

Thanks in advance,
Kind regards
GS

Hi
A quick search in FreeReg for her name under baptisms in Farnham does not show any for her herself.  But it does give a couple with teh same name as the mother.  These are in the late 1790s. I guess it could be her from an earlier marriage or even her mother?

The marriage also appears with witness names etc.

Lawrence (with soundex) returns quite a few with that surname in Farnham, so you may be lucky.

Hope this helps
