Dear Patricia
I am sorry I have no experience of ordering Canadian certs. I am sure if you ask on the Canadian forum there will be someone knowledgeable who will be able to help.

It doesn't look like George's record image is available on that website yet. However, there are kind RootsChatters :) living in Vancouver who usually offer to look up records .... one of them will hopefully see this thread before too long.

An obituary for a George Kilmer (age 58) of 2811 West 12 Ave., Vancouver appears in the Vancouver Sun on 13 Sept 1935, page 15. A daughter and son are mentioned. The obituary also asks "Fernie papers" to copy. Fernie is a town in southeastern British Columbia and this mention suggests that George might have lived there for a time.

I also found George and Alice Kilner in the BC Directory for 1935 at 2811 West 12. Living with them was a W. Kilner.

Hi
I can check next week at our family history library to see if they have the microfilms of the registrations. I do recall that when I was doing a look up for another Rootschatter awhile ago I found that some microfilm was missing. The library is open very limited hours now. If they don't have it, I can check the BC Archives in Victoria but that may take awhile.
Thanks.

John William Benson Kilner was born in Fernie, BC, on 8 May 1908 (from his death record.)
Due to privacy laws, BC birth records are only available up to 1903.
He married Margaret Clark Morgan on 31 Aug 1935: http://www.rootschat.com/links/0tlg/
He died 10 August 1979. Death record: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FL1H-MQ4
Death registration: http://www.rootschat.com/links/0tlf/
His first wife Margaret died in 1966: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FLTY-SFJ
The spouse named on William's death registration was M. G. Butchart, so he must have remarried after his first wife Margaret died in 1966.
Edna's husband William Dale died 19 Sept 1957.

His obituary appeared in the Vancouver Sun on 20 Sept 1957, page 30.
