Looking to find Thomas Howe's parents and siblings. Can find him in 1851 census newly married giving an approximate birth year of 1827 in West Auckland, Durham but nothing else.
He married Rachael Bland early 1850 in Auckland, any help appreciated,
Regards Katlady

The obvious thing to do here will be to get the marriage certificate. It is on freebmd so you can get the reference from that. Have you checked Durhamrecordsonline? It may show on there and save a few pounds. Or familysearch?

Since it seems from your initial request that you don't know the names of his parents, how are you going to know if this is 'your' Thomas (if indeed he is with his family)?
As sillgen said in her reply, you really need to get his marriage certificate, which should give his father's name and occupation :)

Unfortunately the two Thomas Howe who are living in Auckland area in the 1841 census one is living in Merrington the other Hamsterley, but not with any other Howe family.
So as sillgen has said the only way is to get his marriage certificate to find out his fathers name.

Hi
There is this Christening Record
Thomas Howe
Date 15 Jan 1823
Saint Andrews, Auckland, Durham
Father John Howe
Mother Mary Ripon
As previously state you will need the MC to confirm this

But if he was born in West Auckland - I would have thought he would be Baptised in St Helen's Auckland Church in St Helen Auckland.
But there is loads of Howe families in the area. So as we have said the only way to find his parents is his marriage certificate.
And the marriage is a Registry marriage so no way we can look for it.

In Auckland St. Helen there were 4 Thomas Howe baptisms 1813-1839. One in 1821, 2 in 1822, and one in 1839

Hello again,
Have just received copy of Thomas Howe's marriage record for Mar 2 1850. His father is listed as Thomas Howe and occupation is Farmer. Hope someone can help with some more information on his parents, can't seem to find him in 1841 census with a father Thomas Howe. I suppose he was already living away from home at 15years old.

Hows, Ann Hows
Thos. Hows
22 Apr 1821
St. Helen, Auckland
Found this one for St Helens Auckland, but no fathers first name.
But we also have to remember in the days of the 1800's they are a lot of marriages where the fathers names are made up.
As the children did not know who they fathers were.
