I have two siblings, Dorothie Mary Darley b.1881 Thorne Yorkshire, and Ciceley Sarah Darley b. 1883 Thorne, and have found their birth registrations but no census returns anywhere!
They came from a wealthy brewing family and although I have looked at different sites concerning this family, have been unable to tie these two girls in with them - even though I know by Ciceley marrying Henry (Harry) Whitworth, two large brewing families came together.
This is extremely frustrating as I have a lot of my daughter-in-laws paperwork here, but so much is missing.
I would be grateful for any help.

The marriage certificate for Ciceley (and Dorothie if she married) should list father's name and occupation which might help locate them in census records. I'm not entirely clear as to whether you are missing the family in census records or just these 2 sisters. It might help to tell us any other details on the parents that you might know.

The 1891 census is the only one Dorothie will appear on-
Death: Dorothie Mary Darley, age 18, Apr./June 1900 Thorne district, volume 9c page 507

Thank you so much senteacher, silvery, and aghadowey for all that information.
Obviously the girls parents had left them with the staff while they themselves were at their parents home (Seems to be the type of thing the "upper class" did!
I do know that Henry Whitworth (Harry) was going to marry Dorothie, but she died in 1900 and he married her sister Cicely instead as the parents wanted the two brewery families to merge. Sadly Cicely died quite young too.
I think you definitely have the correct parents as Sarah Darley's maiden name was Bladworth, and I have a letter that says Cicely's son Henry Percival was brought up by his father and Phemie Bladworth. (Possibly a great aunt?)
So once again I thank you all - I was born in Rotherham and had heard of the Whitworth and Darley breweries, but never imagined my son was going to marry one of their descendants!!

Wow! Thanks MargP. That's a wonderful item to get hold of. I'll be ordering it!!!

Did you ever get the 1907 marriage certificate for Cicely Darley and Harry Whitworth?
On the free 1911
Henry is 40 b 1870
Wendy dau 2 b 1909
Cicely 27 b 1884
Looking for Henry/Harry Whitworth b Yorkshire in 1881 two show up, neither is of a brewery family. One is born 1870 father William 38 engineer, and the other 1873 father Edward a mechanic (SsMm ) b 1846.
Taking Yorkshire out doesn't seem to help.

You will probably find more Wills for Charles family

He may be the son of Spedding Whitworth, who in 1871 was a maltster in Wath upon Dearne with a 1 yr old son Henry b Bradford: RG10/4710/26/13.

Yes, that's sounds better.

Phemie looks likely to be Euphemia Edith, b abt 1865 Scotland, wife of (Sarah's brother) Thomas Bladworth b 1857 Whitgift.

Thanks once more to everyone, and also avm228 for your info.
Yes, Spedding Whitworth was Henry's father, and on either Henry's birth certificate, or baptismal record we have him as Henry Whitworth Wade. Speddings wife possibly couldn't have children, and young Henry's mother was actually Annie Wade, a maid at the house. There is a note to say she was paid £100 to give sole care of Henry to Spedding and his wife Mary. This whole family was a very interesting one! Thanks everyone for helping me put more information on the tree

Hi silvery - I just looked up that Rotherham site you gave me, and it was fantastic. Spedding's son Henry was a very fortunate man - his father left him £110,00!!!
