I am told the name is Steele but it looks like Stiele to me?
-
I incline more to Steele, based on the i further down in High.
Kay
-
Also agree with Steele - the letter is not open like several of the other 'e' letters but it is quite similar to the 'e' in Regular on the bottom line.
-
I'd also go with Steele!

MARRIAGE: John Garmony Oct./Dec.1890 Armagh registration district volume 1 page 39- Elizabeth Steele on same page.
Lizzie Garmony & 3 children, including son Hugh, in 1911-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Armagh/Brootally/Balteagh/330746
John Garmony & family in 1901-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Armagh/Tynan/Naul/1019757
The marriage certificate should list Elizabeth's residence at time of marriage and father's name and occupation which will help trace her family in Irish records.

Hi. I was born and raised in Derryhaw. My family have owned a farm house in derryhaw since 1910 ( prior to my family living there it was called "Steele's Hill) I know the Steele family lived in it for many years. This must be your family. The house is still a family home today.

How exciting if it is indeed connected to Nita!
