Title: 1851 census lookup request: Amelia Kent
Post by: pnoenix on Wednesday 08 June 05 15:33 BST (UK)
Hi,

Is there anyone with access to the 1851 census who could kindly look up Amelia Kent for me?  She would have been 20 and was born in Bow Brickhill.  But she wasn't with the rest of her family in Bow Brickhill.  A few years later she had an illegitimate daughter.  On later censuses she was a straw bonnet maker.

I'm not sure if it is possible to do a general search under a name, without being sure where she is likely to be.

I suppose she may not even be in Bucks.  She may be in Bedfordshire as that is nearby.

Anyway if anyone could help in any way I would be grateful.

Thanks,
Diane

Thanks Ruth,

She seems to have slipped the net somehow.

No doubt you have long since found this, but she seems to have been in Luton, visiting a family surnamed Lawrence.

Thanks Fred  ;D

Yes things have moved on a bit since then.  I'm pretty much all censused up now!

Thanks very much for helping anyway,
Diane
