Title: TYSEHURST FAMILY OF DALLINGTON, EAST SUSSEX
Post by: brumby90 on Friday 12 April 13 17:28 BST (UK)
Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has done any research on this family at all? Have seen plenty of family trees but I think they are incorrect in linking the Ticehurst/Tysehurst family from Dallington with the fmaily fro Ashburnham. Specially a John Tysehurst (born 1655) whom others are linking to an Abraham Tysehurst from Ashburnham.  However, I found a John who was born in Dallington in 1654 and his fathers name is listed as George.  This john married Hannah Bennet in 1684.
My question is did his father, George come from dallington or Ashburnham. I cant seem to find anything about one at all. I did find that the John from dallington had siblings called mary and Elizabeth.
There are lots of trees going around with the Ashburnham Tysehursts and wills they left but the names do not much up to those who were in Dallington. Has anyone else found info on this family?
Thanks for any help. David

Hello David

I have no connection to the Ticehurst family but will try to help.

The John from Ashburnham was Baptised 9 Nov 1665,son of Robert & Ann.

It maybe worth joining the Sussex Family History Group, which gives members online access to Baptisums & Burials. You can also buy the Sussex Marriage Index CD from them
.

Kind regards

omega
