Hi Judy
I am not an expert but it looks like ... my daughter... :-\

I would interpret it as 'tow' = two.

Hi
At first glace I would have said it looks like a "F" something like fond but last letter doesn't look like a "D".
But looking at the rest of the handwriting I would agree the first letter looks the same as other "T's" in the script.

Hi All,
Thank you for the replies.
I have cropped it a little more because I think Hazel maybe looked at the wrong piece. I left some more writing in to help but in doing so it may have been misleading.

I think its:
....William Braithwait and Elizabeth Braithwait my Sons...

I agree with Alexander that it's tow, i.e. two - in view of what comes after that word:
......William Braithwhait and Elizabeth Braithwhait my tow children all the rest of......

Thank you very much for your opinions.
I transcribed the whole will last night and looked very carefully at the formation of the letters and with your help too I am now convinced it is "my tow children".
I was hoping it was 'my sons children' as then I would get a generation further back.
Thank you all.
