I'm trying to track the children of Charles Willmore Kennedy (1849 - 1884) and Leila Cornelia Cuff (1853 - 1889).  One of their children is Georgianna Elizabeth Kennedy born around Bristol  in 1880.  Her parents married in Jamaica and the family do seem to travel. 

There is a sniff of a clue from a Millennium File (?) that has the death of an Elizabeth Kennedy on 5 June 1930 in Harding, Natal.  It gives a birth date of 1882 in Bristol and under "children" has Leila Mary Taylor.  There is a brother, George Willmore Kennedy, who married in Johannesburg in 1906.

Is this a wish too far?? 

Kennedy was her maiden name, so the possibilities are:

the data shows her maiden name rather than married name
she didn't marry/married another Kennedy
by 1930 the child is married
none of the above, it's all a red herring

I can't find Georgiana Elizabeth Kennedy marrying in UK or travelling out.  She is on the 1891 Census as Elizabeth Kennedy being looked after by an aunt with other siblings in Cornwall.

If this isn't her, she's another brick wall

According to the National Archives George was married to a Florence Anna Cuffe and they divorced in 1921.  The divorce papers could show whether they had any children and possibly their names. I suggest you order these through eggsa as shown on the sticky notes. The details are as follows:

I have a copy of military records for George Willmore Kennedy which lists an older brother and a younger brother, Louis, of Penzance.  Would you like a copy?

That would be great, but I think you have to have posted a minimum number of posts before you can send a private message.  If I'm wrong, can you PM me and I will let you know my e-mail.  I have George's siblings as Charles, Charlotte Leila, Louis Anthony, Georgianna Elizabeth and Ann Evelyn Forrester. 

I've nothing on George Willmore after 1891 census, so finding more about what happened to him will fill a hole  ;D
