Hi Barbara
these seem to be mine and Gareth from Perth (Aus) relatives but the dates/ages are a bit out . I will go and ponder! There don't happen to be more around Haltwhistle as they could also link in with us and Andy Stuart
many thanks for your help

Hi Cloe,
In the 1841 census ages were often rounded to nearest 5, which is why some dates could seem wrong.
I will look for Lowes in Haltwhistle 1841 if you can give me an idea of address or narrow it down a bit. - Haltwhistle parish includes Bellister, Blenkinsopp, E. Coanwood, Featherstone, Hartley-Burn, Henshaw, Melkridge, Plainmellor, Ridley, Thirwall, Thorne, and Haltwhistle itself covers 8 sections so there's a lot to look through, not name or street indexed!

Hi Barbara,
The relevant location in Haltwhistle is Whiteside farm some 5km North. I figure that's probably either Thirlwall or Melkridge areas.
This is the only one I'm currently sure of:
BENJAMIN LOWES Christening: 01 JUL 1764 Haltwhistle, North umberland Father: ROBERT LOWES Mother: MARY
Many thanks for anything you can turn up!
