Can anyone please help, I have the above named in my family tree, from this date hit brick wall can anyone please help.

In 1898 Mary Ann Hall married Frederick Lewis Watkins -

St Mark, Gloucester.

There is a birth of Frederick John Lewis   Watkins -

Mother's name - Hall

There is a marriage of Fred Lewis Watkins to Annie Elizabeth Speck in 1902, St Catherine, Gloucester.

So it would appear that Frederick's first wife died.

Possible death -

Mary Ann Watkins age 19 q1 1899, Gloucester Vol 6a Page 240

If you look at http://ww3.gloucestershire.gov.uk/bmd/BirthSearch.aspx there are quite a few Watkins births with mother's name Speck.

There is a Service Record of a Fred Lewis Watkins (Glos) but he is now married to Kate Bennett (Bath 1916)

Thanks everyone for replying, George Frederick Merrett married Ethel Beatrice Hall 1906 Gloucester. Woukd anyone know how i can trace thier children.
                This would bring my tree to date.

If you had interrogated the Gloucestershire BMD indexes, as pointed out earlier, and requested births with father MERRETT, mother HALL, Gloucester, you would have found the following:-
Frederick George MERRETT b.1907 Gloucester 6a 301 Mar Qtr
William Joseph MERRETT b.1908 Gloucester 6a 296 Sep Qtr
Gladys Matilda MERRETT b.1910 Gloucester 6a 269 Dec Qtr
The 1911 Census will also confirm these facts.

Frederick Lewis Watkins is my Grandfather.  Born in  Clapham, Kingsholm, Gloucester. He is the son of
Charles and Harriet Lewis - Watkins.  They mainly lived in Union St, Clapham.

Fred married first Mary Ann Hall in 1898.  She died in child birth or soon after, when giving birth to her son Fred.

Fred married second Annie Elizabeth Speck ( my Grandmother ).

If my memory serves me correctly, Mary Ann's Mother I think was called Mary Ann . I will have to look my tree up to be sure.  The Hall family lived in Clapham also
