His name Alexander Mackenzie born 1879 old monkland and in 1918 it is written that he was frequently at HMS Vernon, does this pic support this ? what else can be told ?

The RND did not wear cap badges until the second half of the war when they went to France so that helps to date it.

he was drafted to anson battalion in july 1917 so that would help confirm who i believe this is
