Is there any one who could find info on the parentage of Jesse Coopey reg in the march quarter of !868 in gloucester also the details of his marriage thought to be sometime in 1888. Many thanksChriscr

Nothing on the IGI, but did find these on the civil registration index -

1868 - birth - Jesse Coopey
     Volume - 6a    Page - 276
     Quarter - March   
     District - Gloucester

1888 - marriage - Jesse Coopey
     Volume - 11a     Page - 449
     Quarter - Sept   
     District - Cardiff         

(possible spouses - on same page - Ellen Matthews & Annie Masters Wells)

If you send for the certificates this should give you the information you are looking for.  You can do this online at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificate/index.asp#0

I have checked the Glos BMD indexes and Jesse COOPEY was base born, mother surname COOPEY.

Hayward Coopey born c 1829, Twigworth, Occp Corn Porter
Ann Coopey, born c 1827, Dymock
Jesse, Grandson, 14, Labourer in W Works (Agon) born Bn St Michael, Glous

They seem to have only 1 Daug;
JULIA ANN Coopey born c 1851 Barton Jenan, Glous
Looks like Julia would be Jesses Mother.

I wish I had a specialty. I just seem to jump from one Board to another!
If you can find anything else on the Coopeys/Eynons etc it would be a help.
I am going to look for Jesse now as a Married man and then give up til Chriscr sees this.
