Title: Domestic servant records

Hi All,

Thank you for your help so far...... ;D ;D ;D

Does anyone know if there are any registers/records of domestic staff in the 1900's.

Am looking for Mary Mason at 16 Marlborough Road, Glasthule. I am thinking that this may be my g. grandmother. Am hoping any such record might clarify this.

Unless she worked for a titled family or similar - it would be most unlikely that any records would be kept

That is what I suspected. what a shame.
Guess there were no tax records or references such like today...  :( :(
