Hello,
I wonder if anyone has any information on a Susannah Horsefield?
I know she was born in Colne, Lancashire 14 January 1802.
Her parents were Kerry Horsefield and Mary. I estimate they were born around 1778. I don't know where, although I believe they may have Irish links as Kerry, I am told, is an Irish name.
Susannah married John Baldwin (born 13 August 1797 in Trawden) on the 26 June 1825.
They had at least 6 children who were
Mary Baldwin (born 1825)
George Baldwin (born 1826)
Elizabeth Baldwin (born 1830)
Frederick Baldwin (born 1832) - I believe I am his descendent.
Job Baldwin (born 1836)
Margaret Baldwin (born 1838)
Is anyone here related to them or have any further information?

Thanks Mo I cant find a Kerry Horsefield ,any where

Thank you both for your replies. I feel a little confused and unsure how to progress now.
I think I must have the wrong parents for her. I definitely have a marriage between a Susannah Horsefield and John Baldwin, which was in Colne.
???
Oh well I will keep looking. Thank you for your help.

Husband John was a Widower by 1851 living in Northowram Yorkshire if I have the right one, so even if they married in Colne Susannah may not have been born there.

Ah I think I'd missed that somehow, thank you.
I've found her on the 1841 census at last, she goes by Susey there!

Hi Radcliff,
Thank you for the further help.
I haven't made any progress yet as I haven't had chance to act on your information, but if I do, I will let you know.
I am really excited about this part of my family.

Hello All,
I've been looking into this again and I think I may have found a birth for Susannah/Susy Horsefield.
20 September 1803 in Luddenden, West Yorkshire. Parents William and Grace.
It's about 16 miles from Colne, where she married John Baldwin. It's about 7 miles from where she ended up living with John Baldwin on the 1841 census.
It's the only other birth record I've turned up that seems to fit. It's interesting to me because the name on the birth record is Susy and that's what name she goes by in the 1841 census.
Anyone else think this might be a good fit?
