Title: Wishaw Photos
Post by: wdbev777 on Tuesday 19 March 13 02:31 GMT (UK)
My grandfather (William Rutherford) left Wishaw, Scotland, in 1928 with my mother and her four brothers headed for West Virginia coal fields.  I inherited his sea trunk which had a group of photos from Wishaw.  We have no idea who these folks are.  Question: is there a place to post scans of these photos to help find who they are?  I suspect that most have passed away by now, but family might like to have.  I would be willing to mail photos too.

Hi William,

You are welcome to post the photos here and we can help you to date them, but it might be a long shot to identify who they are - they might be close family or they could be just friends or extended family.

When posting photos for dating, please follow these guidelines: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,517366.0.html (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,517366.0.html)

Hi William and welcome to Rootschat...There is a temporary fault at the moment...when posting images you may get an error message to the effect that the post has "Timed Out"...just keep pressing the post button and the image should attach at the third attempt.
