Post by: Chris R D on Sunday 17 March 13 20:39 GMT (UK)
Hello,

I am trying to locate the grave of;

36050 Sergeant Jacques Lemonnier French Air Force, 80 Operational Training Unit, RAF Ouston
He was killed on 13th December 1945, England.
He was first interred at St Mary The Virgin Churchyard, Stamfordham, Northumberland on 17th December.
In late 1948/early 1949, he was re-interred in France.
Can anyone locate where his grave is situated.

kindest regards

Chris

Might be worth taking a look at this site:

http://www.memoiredeshommes.sga.defense.gouv.fr/

The CWGC had (and still has) considerable involvement with foreign war graves in the UK and may just hold records relating to the repatriation of French war dead:

Commonwealth War Graves Commission
2 Marlow Road
Maidenhead
