Hi
Looking for information on George Bryant, was born about 1823 in Essex England, his parents are John Bryant & Jane Davis, l believe that George married twice and died in 1860 not sure if he married in England or Australia. He remarried in 1862 to Elizabeth Carter and had 10 Children. If you please confirm the name of his first wife and confirm his parents names would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Sue

A Tree has them marrying 1862 in Victoria.
The Cert will have his status ie Single/Widowed and Fathers name /occp.
He died 1895 according to the Tree.
If that is correct his Parents were Jno (John) and Jane DAVIES
I found one on the 1851 census Occp Baker
What was Georges Ocp?
Interestingly the Head of the House is Charles Davies, Master Baker age 33

Hi Trish
On George's marriage certificate it states he was a widower and former wife died in 1860, can't read if he had children to his first wife. He was born in the Parish of Broad............. Dorsetshire sorry can't make out the full name of the parish, he was a labourer, and his Father John Bryant was a baker and his mother name was Jane Davies are you also able to give me the names of John & Jane's parents and when an where they where married.
Thank you so much for your time on this it is much appreaciated.

The following children of John and Jane Bryant/Briant were baptised in BroadWINSOR. He was described as a labourer on the post 1812 baptisms, when their abode was Drimpton (Broadwinsor).
1805 John
1808 Elizabeth
1811 Hannah
1813 Martha
1815 Elizabeth
1822 George and Lucy
Lucy Ann Bryant married Robert Larcombe in Broadwinsor in 1847, when her father was John Bryant, baker; and the witnesses were George and Martha Bryant.
A Jane Bryant, aged 81, of Birdsmore gate, Broadwinsor, died in 1856. In 1851 she is living with her daughter Martha and son George, but is described as a widow. Her place of birth was Drimpton so, if she is Jane Davis, she may be:
Mar 1775 Braodwinsor Jean Davis d William and Martha Davis.
