I am trying to establish if a relation with a family name of Grimmett is related to the famous cricketer Clarence Victor Grimmett. I understand that he was born in New Zealand on Christmas Day 1891 in Caversham, Dundin, South Island & his parents were Richard James Grimmett & Mary née McDermott.

I wonder if they or the family originated from England, would anyone be good enough to see if you could find a marriage &/or birth for Richard James Grimmett.

Hello my great grandfather was Thomas Richard John Grimmett brother of Richard James Grimmett and Uncle of Clarence Victor Grimmett , I have the family tree from England if you are seeking that information   :)
