Title: Langdon's Hill Primary School No.961 - Victoria
Post by: shane9 on Wednesday 13 March 13 02:08 GMT (UK)
Hi.

I am looking for any information/photo's of Langdon's Hill Primary School No.961.

The school was situated on the north side of "Langdon's Hill" at Rocky Lead. Rocky Lead is now known as Rocklyn and is about 15 kms south west of Daylesford. It was established on September 1867 as a Church School and taken over by the Education Department not that long after. It closed on 20th November 1902 due to decreasing enrolment.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Shane

Hi

I have already been to the Daylesford historial society last week and they do not have any details apart from the location and the dates opened and closed.

My great grandfather (James Dudley) and his siblings went there, as well as some of their children(Dudley/Doran's).

Cheers
