Can anyone help locate my grandfather Samuel William Moss who owned a shop (possibly a grocers) in London shortly after 1918. He may only have had it for a few years but any info would be appreciated.

Hi shack224
On Ancestry in Hughes Business Directory for 1921:-
Moss, Samuel (fruit) Spitalfields Mkt, E1
less likely Post Office 1934
308 Albert Rd, Moss, William; Grocer
You can also find Directories on this site:
http://www.historicaldirectories.org/hd/index.asp
I found no references to Samuel Moss on it, but you might find it useful.

Thanks for responding so quickly to my query.
I think you are right that the 1921 entry is most likely to be my grandfather and now after many years not knowing, this gives me a starting point to find out more about him.
Thanks again your reply is really appreciated.
