hi i would be greatful on any help with my great grandmother anne brodie..she married a william lansdell in 1932 but im trying to trace her earlier years, i dont know when she was born but im sure it was after 1900s im trying to trace her family before..mother and father or siblings..i know she came from lancashire..ive tried searching for her but no luck..can anyone help..many thanks

As I pointed out in your previous thread, the marriage was actually in 1935!

Possible siblings?
1912, Joseph Brodie
1921, Jane Manley Brodie
1922, George Manley Brodie

All in Preston; all with mother's maiden name of Stewart

thank you very much i managed to find the same possible birth date and stewart name so think im on the right track..the siblings find is fantastic as it gives me more leads to go on..if you find anything else that would be great!

We really need the father's name from the marriage certificate!

I can't see any obvious marriages for Brodie to Stewart, which makes me think that maybe it was Mrs/Miss Stewart's 2nd marriage?

Possibly they are not your family,
but quite easily traced in census and baptism records,
Maud is not at home in later census,so where is she

Joseph's details in 1911 are the same, Jane Ellen Brodie dies in 1903.

Joseph Brodie married Maud Stuart in 1905 Reg. Office Preston, it was his second marriage as in 1901 his wife is Jane Ellen aged 31.

Jane Ellen Brodie died in 1903 aged 33.
