Welcome to RootsChat!
I'm no expert but 1 and 3 look alike to me as do 2 and 3.
Especially if they are all within 10 years of each other.
Hopefully someone will reply with a more scientific approach

Hi Steve,
Welcome from me too ! :) :)
Like Pejic, there's nothing technical from me either, but I do agree about no's 2 and 3. The first image is very similar to the other's - the only difference being there's something about the shape of his face around the cheekbone area ?? Although that could be down to the position of his head and the angle of the photo.
Kind regards,
Pels. :)

Convinced they are the same man, the way he is looking from beneath his eyebrows on all 3! :)

I would concur that he is the same person! The shape of the nose, ears and eyebrows is pretty much unchanging throughout the 3 pictures. ;D

2 and 3 almost certainly, 1 possibly.
If we could see the whole photo for each of them we might be able to estimate the dates and see if it being the same man is realistic or not.

Thanks everyone so far for their thoughts.
I have another topic on this forum with the full photo of the man with the hat (photo on the left). It is the photo I received from a relative in England, but he did not know who they were. I will re-post it here to see if the dates make sense. I will tell you the story behind these photos.
John Brewster, My great great grandfather was a "porter" at the Royal Institution in London from around 1875 to 1910 when he retired. I recently got in touch with the RI and they were nice enough to send me any photos they had of the normal "day to day" workers at the Institution hoping I could recognize someone. After looking at the pictures this man seemed to look familiar to the photo I already had of a possible Brewster.
I have attached the photos in full for more detailed observations.
Thanks again, this site is really great
