I'm trying to find out about my husband's uncle, Malcolm Hugh Carrington, known as Hugh Carrington. He was involved with Formula One racing back in the fifties and won the 9 hour race in 1959. I believe he was an electrical engineer and lived in Johannesburg. He was born in the UK and was the grandson of J B Carrington, goldsmith and Court jeweler of London. Any information at all would be great!

Hi I found nothing on NAAIRS but found a link to his winning the 9 hour race at Kyalami http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyalami_9_Hours and I also found this link to info on the race won by Hugh http://thechicaneblog.com/2012/02/20/1959-johannesburg-9-hours-program/
That is all I could find.
Regards Derek
