Hi all,
I am trying to find information on Ziba Gray, he was born in the Grimsby area on Lincolnshire in around 1813 and married Elizabeth Pottage in 1854. I would like to find out who his parents and siblings were.
Kind Regards
Graham (Goda)

Because it's not a common name, it's easily mistranscribed ... how about this one? http://www.freereg.org.uk/cgi/SearchResults.pl?RecordType=Baptisms&RecordID=7163078

Hi Graham,
Agree with last post..father Robert. Ziba born 19 Dec 1813, married Elizabeth (born 1828) 1 Jun 1854. Marriage/children found in Familysearch.org
1841 census on familysearch also shows him in Lincolnshire living with another family (Mason I think).
Are you a member of Ancestry ? Many trees have details in them. There is also a marriage cert. displayed there that give more details.
Good Luck
Richard

Yes I posted his marriage certificate. It gives his father as Robert Gray, a labourer. The witnesses are Hannah Pottage, George Gray and Charlotte Leighton. It is very likely that George Gray was his brother; George was about 3 years younger than Ziba and also born in Humberstone.

Many thanks for the info Julian.
