Title: Wiseman family Manchester
Post by: Kyrenia on Thursday 28 February 13 18:19 GMT (UK)
Hi,
Can anyone help me I'm looking for information on a Wiseman(not sure that's the right spelling) family in Manchester 1960's, thought to have a chain of Jewish delicatessens.

Many thanks for any help.
Kyrenia

Hi Kyrenia,

I think there was a Mr & Mrs Wiseman that ran a small supermarket on Stockport Rd, Levenshulme when I lived there early 1980s. A small branch of Lennons maybe, I'm trying to remember! Maybe someone else remembers and can confirm, or not?

It was near the corner of Stockport Rd & Alma Rd, if you go on Street View there is a well known bettting shop there now.

 :) Barbara
