Hi All, Its some time since I was last on Roots. I'm searching for a family of Watson, father Thomas, wife Elizabeth, daughters Susannah and Annie and son James, living Concle, Barrow in Furness in1881 Census. After this I can find no trace on any census records or indeed bmd for any family member!! Have any fellow RCers any ideas where I may find anything further. I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks, Will

Concle,
Was a public house at Rampside ,just before you go over the causeway to Roa Island,
-
So Susanah was an Edmondson, mother Elizabeth Edmondson, mother later married,I see Susanahs marriage in 1894 so in theory its the 1891 census you are missing,?

birth registered Barrow 1881,mother Edmondson
Annie 1879 Barrow,mother Edmondson,
James registered Dalton 1876,mother Edmondson

The address in 1881 was 6 Concle - nothing to do with a Public House!

Hi Radcliff,
Thank you for your efforts and info. I had picked up on the Edmonson connection (apart from Susannah who was the illegitimate child of Elizabeth before her marrige to Thomas Watson). As you say there may also be a connection somewhere to the Huddleston family but I haven't as yet made that connection. I had however wondered from earlier reseach whether the father of Susannah may have been a Huddleston!! My ultimate aim is to connect the Watson side with a Mary Ellen Watson living in Padiham in 1942!! its a tall order but thats the intrigue of Fam History. Will contact you again over the coming days. Family are staying over at the moment and time is a bit limited.
Best
Will
