HI. does anyone have any information about JOHN FRY born 1807 in Herefordshire = he married in Castle Cary in Somerset to Ann Taylor on the 24th October 1836- they then settled in Stratton-on-the-Fosse Somerset.
Any help would be appreciated

Not exactly sure what info you have or seek.
However a search in FreeReg has the marriage you mention and appears to have at least 4 baptisms soon after.
The search i did was in Somerset, with the fathers name under baptism and the results follow.

Hi thanks for your reply. I am looking for evidence of his birth as all the census are different as to his birth place.

I can't see any on familysearch in herefordshire, worcestershire or wales but there are a couple of possible john frys in Hertfordshire, maye someone miswrote the county.

1851 Census birthplace bit of a mess but looks like Hatfield, Hertford - 1861 says Herefordshire - 1871 says Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

John Fry bp.15/2/1807 Hatfield, Hertfordshire, son of Matthew and Susanna.

Looks like father Matthew Fry was a native of Somerset and that sometime after 1812 he took his family back to Somerset where further children born although I can only detect 2 definites from records. Where they were between 1812 and 1827 I don't know so pretty sure there would have been other children born between those dates.

Sampson Fry bc.1827 Galhampton, Somerset
Matthew Fry bc.1780 bur.5/11/1857 North Cadbury, Somerset
Susanna Fry bc.1785, bur.4/11/1833 ditto
Matthew Fry remarried to Ann Napper, widow 31/3/1834 North Cadbury
Matthew left a will proved 22/10/1858 by Sampson Fry of Wincanton, son and one of the executors. States Matthew died 5/11/1857 (same date as burial?) at Galhampton, Somerset where Sampson states he was born on the census.
FreeReg shows Matthew Fry bp.25/12/1782 North Cadbury, son of Sampson and Ann.
