Post by: matkinson on Tuesday 26 February 13 06:31 GMT (UK)
My name is Marion & I live in Qld Aust and I will be visiting Scotland in May this year. Seeking gravesites of ancestors - Duncan McDonell (ggggrandfather - born abt 1786-Borlum) m Ann Gillies : Donald McDonell (gg grandfather - born abt 1800- Borlum, died abt 1886 Inverness) m Mary McDonald (daughter of Donald McDonald and Mary McDonald b abt 1804 Auchterawe, died 1883 Markethill). G grandfather Duncan b abt 1843 Bunoich, died Qld 1923)married Mary Josephine Scully in England and came to Aust with 2 children on the Camorta.
I am hoping someone will be able to advise sites of graveyards, churches, etc for my ancestors.
Many thanks,
Marion

Hi Marion,

I think you would be better to get the death certificates to find out for sure where your folks died as Inverness is a very large city & Inverness-shire a very large county.

Regards,

A. M.
