For Barbara H

From an old thread I see you have Bartholomew's Pocket Atlas and Guide to Manchester dated 1927.

My Father was born at 30 Clifford Street, Chorlton-upon-Medlock in December 1927. The street no longer exists (now Manchester University).  Is it shown in your Atlas?

Hi
If you go to
www.old-maps.co.uk

put Manchester in search box
select 1908 pre WW11 1:2500 Lancashire and Furness
coordinates 384606 and 396734

Clifford Street went from Oxford Road to Upper Brook Street
Parallel to Booth Street East.
The map shows a hospital on Clifford Street
Quite close to Rusholme road cemetery
