Title: Derby Railway Works Employee Records
Post by: MissySoo on Thursday 14 February 13 16:12 GMT (UK)
Hello,

I was wondering where I can find any information available on a employee of the LMR (??) Railway based in Derby in the early 1900's??

I have been watching Michael Portillo doing his trips around the UK and it's sparked an interest in my Grandad who worked as a millwright (I believe) at the railway works in Derby from about 1905 ...... I would love to find out more about it and what his work entailed.

Any suggestions gratefully received......

Soo

Hi,

Ancestry.co.uk have Railway Records 1833- 1960

If you post your ancestors name etc., I am sure you will get information.
