The marriage in 1905 has her name as Martha Eliza Taylor
1905, South Shields (vol 10a 1211).
The 1911 census has his place of birth as Poplar, London.
His name on marriage & census is William George Bettis.
A possible baptism.
William George Bettis baptised on 28 September 1884 at St George in the East.
Parents William (carman) & Eliza Bettis.
Address 19 Walburgh Street.

If this is you william then this could be his parents marriage.
William Bettis (carman) 21 bachelor married Eliza Cutler 20 spinster on 13 April 1884 at St Thomas Stepney.
Father's names were George Bettis (builder) & John Cutler ?maker
Address for both was 15 Charles Street.
Witnesses: Arthur William Ansell & Catherine Bettis.

the marriage was 2 Dec 1905 between Martha E Taylor and William G Bellis note spelling for William!! shown on South Shields online records. Looks like St Cuthbert's church, Hebburn.
