Hi, I am hoping to contact anyone out there who is also researching my family in Donegal. I am interested in getting any information about James Henderson of Tullydish and his wife Mary Ann McLaughlin of Monreagh. They wed in 1876 and had four children:
Sarah Jane -James - William John - Hugh
James died about 1884 and I have two different ages on records and do not know which one is correct and even if it is him at all. His fathers name was listed as Joseph on one record.
Mary Ann his widow remarried a Phillip McCallion of Tullydish.
Not holding my breath but hoping for any leads as I am unable to find out anymore. ???

It was so great to hear from you Caroline with news of a Henderson relative contact. We have now been sharing info and getting to know each other and our family in common.
I had little hopes of anyone responding to my post but it shows you that one should never give up as there are many seeing this website. Thank you!

Hi
Sorry to bother you all, I was wondering if you could provide some information.
I'm trying to trace ancestors for my grandfather Patrick Joseph Lynch who had a sister Susan and a brother John, there might be more I'm unaware of. They came to Scotland but their family came from Buncrana, Donegal. The mother of Patrick Joseph was Sarah Jane Lynch nee Henderson.
Any information you can provide would be great fully appreciated.

You need to confirm with some dates if we are finding the correct family.

To AntonyR, please take a look at your other message in the thread about Patrick Joseph Lynch of Tullydish. I've posted a reply there which my interest you. Cheers.

Tullydush... no Tullydish!

Tullydish seems to be an alternative spelling- see PRONI Will Extracts, google, etc.

Hi Anthony
I do know a bit about this family. I don't know how much info you have as you don't really say. I thought there was another post on Rootschat that Tumbleweed aka Wee Annie did some time ago but I cannot find it at the moment. I did give her quite a bit of help with her tree outside of Rootschat and we became good friends.

Tumbleweed I don't know how to message you but I think we may be related. I'm just not sure how exactly ! I know from DNA testing that we are from the Buncrana / Tullydish area, and my great grandfather was a Henderson :-)

Hello 52747
Welcome to Rootschat. You have to do a few more posts before you can message someone or they can contact you.
Tumbleweed aka Wee Mamie passed away in 2015. Unfortunately I have no contact with her family to help you get in contact.

Can we have a note of approximate years, please?
Mary Ann his widow remarried a Phillip McCallion of Tullydish.
Mary Anne McCallion died in 1921 at Tullydish [sic]. Her widower Philip was the informant.
