Hi go to this link http://www.eggsa.org/library/main.php?g2_itemId=43 you can search almost any cemetery in South Africa, but not all the graves are photographed. I typed in Apthorp in the surname search box and came up with one result, a Wendy Apthorp died 10 years old and buried in Plumstead cemetery.

Who was raising questions about Wendy Apthorp buried in Plumstead Cemetry? This was probably my sister, although she was not 10 years old when she died, but was 20.
