Hi Chris, I was hunting around the net for any details of a Sgt James Cox killed in a plane crash in 1958. I eventually narrowed the info down and ended up on this site and your question. I know it may be a bit late to answer but Jim was my uncle and I have just come across a letter to his widow from the Sqn Leader of the time describing the funeral details and internment in Stamfordham Parish Church graveyard. My aunt was expecting at the time and this was possibly a reason she did not attend. I was at the Jim's grave once. It is in a line with a number of other RAF personnel but I don't know if Ross Beaumont is buried there. I don't know if this info is any help to you re your question, but if you wanted I could copy the details in the letter for you. I haven't yet had chance to view the book 'Almost Forgotten' but are there any details in it of the crash and site? Good Luck

Flight Sergeant Ross Beaumont had his death registered in Northumberland Central which included Belsay where he died. That does not necessarily mean he was buried in Northumberland.

Hopefully Lissydaly will have received the message that you have replied to this post - but if not maybe he/she will see this one.
Lissydaly - you will need to make three posts on here in order to use the PM system - a couple of replies to this should sort that out.
