not sure what sort of details you already have on Winifred and Lawrence - but a marriage cert might be a good place to start as it would give their places of residence at the time, also names and occupations of their father, names of two witness etc.

If Winifred died during or before 1958 a reference should show up on the BMD Index.  See the index on the FamilySearch website. I had a quick search of the index for deaths of the name Winifred Conway between 1924 and 1958 and seven showed up - but none in Abbeyleix district or close -see :

   Winifred Conway deaths 1925-1958 (https://www.familysearch.org/search/records/index#count=20&query=%2Bgivenname%3Awinifred~%20%2Bsurname%3Aconway~%20%2Bdeath_year%3A1924-1958~&collection_id=1408347)

Thank you very much for such speedy help in identifying Lawrence and Winifred Conway for me!  I do have their marriage cert and was looking to see whether I could locate evidence of family and of course a death for Winifred.  Her mother and my grandmother were sisters!  I appreciate your taking the time to help and provide me with such relevant information :)

Thank you Feno!  Am so grateful for the time and interest shown to me with these Irish rellies ;D  I will continue whittling away at the families and in particular the children of Michael and Mary Watters.  It appears that Thomas never married and Michael emigrated to Pennsylvania.  Margaret married John Deegan and Winifred m Laurence Conwell.  Mary (jnr) married John Lawlor in Dublin in 1903, which is where I am at the moment.  Perhaps others on the board will recognise this family  Meanwhile I'll order the death cert for Mrs W Conwell and once again, keep my fingers crossed!
Thanks again for such great information

Hi , I’ve got a Winifred Waters by marriage to a Michael Waters living in Ballinakill in the 1780s , I’m sure they must be ancestors or your Winifred , you’d assume became a passed on family name x
