Can anyone help with this residence location? I'm thinking its Barrow's Walk but would appreciate some other thoughts.
Also with the last name for George ???

There's a Burrows Walk , now a pedestrian shopping area, close to St Peter's Street http://tinyurl.com/agbq479
-
Immediate first impression for George was Hurley -- but on further inspection I think it might be Hinsley.
Cheers.

I was thinking Horsley for George?

Hello -
I would agree with Horsley for George's surname.
craggagh.

Thank you everyone.
I can't seem to find a Barrows, Burrows or even Banors Walk on either the 1861 or 1871 census for Derby. I was hoping some of the people living in that area could help me get around a brick wall.
As for George's last name I'm leaning towards Horsely. I'll have to pursue it and see if it leads me anywhere.
Thanks again :)

I think the address may be Brewer's Walk
oh and it would be HorslEY not HorsEly - I think!
-
what is the area in Derby and what is the year?
-
It's quite clearly Burrow's Walk in 1841 census, several pages of it.
If you look for William HEALY 38 in Derby you will find it.
-
Looked at street names for Derby in 1871 in Derby and Borough's Walk comes up for St Peter parish. May have been the registrar's interpretation?
-
The wedding registration was dated 1864 and the marriage was at "the Parish Church in the Parish of St. Peter Derby in the County of Derby".
I can find Boroughs Walk in 1851, 61 and 71 and then Burrows Walk in 1841. I'll spend some time in 1861 and see if I can find some connections there.
Thank you again everyone! And Parmesan - yes, you're right - Horsley - I knew that, but somehow my brain made me spell it the other way ;D
-
A search of Boroughs Walk in 1871 led me to Elizabeth Brookes - the second witness on the wedding registration. Another welcome lead to follow :)

Excellent!
Don't you love it when a plan comes together? ;D
