can anyone help me find a Dublin marriage for a THOMAS AUGUSTUS WALLIS to Eleanor Margaret Winstanley in 1811/12 and any children of this marriage. Thomas Augustus Wallis was a ships purser in the royal navy and i think at one time maybe around 1805 his ship the Majestic was anchored off bere island on the irish coast. I want to trace his marriage and subsequent children.
I know his date of birth was 1778 dont know birthplace and his wife to be Eleanor Margaret Winstanley was born in 1785 maybe in Ireland. Many thanks to all. ???

Hello,
Family Search has Thomas as father to George Frederick W Wallis - on his marriage in 1857 to Ann Georgina Robinson- is that your family?
George (Reverend) is widowed by 1861 where he is a nephew to Rev McGhee.
George's birth details are given as Plymouth 1826.
1851 shows Eleanor as born Ireland

Hello Heywood, thanks very much yes this is my family. I cant trace Reverend Mcghee back to ireland as i dont much about his birthdate, birthplace. I cant trace Thomas Augustus any further back and id like to trace where he was born and his parentage he died in 1846 so he had quite a long navy career. many thanks.

Re the Rev McGhee - in one census he says Muff, Ireland (Muff is Donegal) and in another Derry.
In 1851, his daughter is born Bagenalstown, Ireland which is in Carlow.
That doesn't help much with your family though.
