Title: help dating scottish family photo please

Can anyone help me to date this family photo taken in Scotland?
I have never seen old clothing like this before.
I'm hoping with the time period it was taken, it would tell me if
this is my gr-gr grandmother Jane Forsyth or.my gr-gr-gr grandmothers
Esther Smith or Euphemia Davies.

also I'm not sure how the link works yet, but it is a wonderful start.

Post by: jim1 on Monday 21 January 13 14:17 GMT (UK): Have to disagree,early-mid 1880's.The neck & bodice are characteristic of this time.
Also can't be as early as 1874 as rounded corners on cardstock didn't appear until 1875.
