Title: All In One Chart
Post by: TaffyBlue on Saturday 19 January 13 19:02 GMT (UK)
I currently use RootsMagic 6, but want to view my whole database in an All-In-One chart.  There doesn't appear to be this facility in RM6 but I have been told it is possible.  Anyone know how?  Or can suggest any free/cheap software that will do it?

Thanks

Wondering the same thing myself. Just downloaded the trial version of Legacy 8.  Doesn't seem to do everyone, only ancestors and descendants.  The trial version isn't limited in charting types.  I hope someone out there knows.

Personally, I wouldn't even attempt such a thing! ;D

My tree has quite a few instances of cousins marrying, and it would result in a hopeless tangle!!
There is no software that can cope with a person being in 2 places in the same tree.

Family Tree Builder 7.0 from/on My Heritage but I think it is expensive.
Family Tree Maker 16 has an all in on chart option.
Family Historian 6 allows an All Relatives chart and also an Everyone diagram

Genealogy Printers will print one for you

There will be more but these are some to start with.
Cheers
Guy

Thanks - have been doing some searching

GenBox has the function - not sure I like how it treats 2nd / 3rd marriages, but it may be able to be customised
Family History Maker's Extended Family Tree may mean the same.  But they don't have a trial version and I'm not prepared to pay A$60 without seeing it first.
wintree 5.0 - is a free option, but it doesn't allow GEDCOM data to be imported
Legacy - definitely not

will try Family Historian

Many years ago I had a program which would do any tree you wanted, I think this was with Windows 96 ( !!!!!!! ) When I bought a new pc it wasn`t compatible and it`s not possible to buy a newer version.
