Hi! I was wondering if a kind person out there might be able to take a photo and make a note of an MI for me when they are next in Axminster Cemetery? I live abroad and rarely get back to UK and would love to actually see my Great Uncle's headstone.
If possible, the details are as follows:
The grave is for Arthur Leonard Perkins (year of death 1977) and Gwendoline Kate 'Kitty' Perkins (nee Start) (year of death 1984). The grave is Y13-1 and I believe it is on the edge of the area it is in, on a path, and I always believed that this was the main path going from the main gate through the centre of the cemetery but I could be wrong about that.
Any offers of help would be very gratefully appreciated!
Many thanks, Nina

I had a look, but was unable to find the plot (no cemetery staff were present to provide guidance or a plot plan). There are relatively few markers, but I found one for Y5 which I took to be row 5 in block K, which had graves of the right vintage, and is indeed bounded by the main path. I counted 8 rows from there, but there were no Perkins graves in that row or anywhere nearby.
If you can get better directions, send me a PM and I'll have another look next time I'm there. Although I don't live anywhere near Axminster, I do go there from time to time (my mother still lives there, and my father and grandparents are buried there).

Hello! So sorry - you must think me sooooo rude not to have replied sooner - I didn't get a notification email in my hotmail account and I don't always look on here that often! Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to have a look for me - much appreciated. If I find out some more info I will let you know ... I will try and get hold of a map of the cemetery if there is one to be had! Thanks again, and so sorry for late reply ... Nina :)
