A cottage that belonged to the Williamsons and Murray's on the High Street in Moniaive, Dumfriesshire has an inscription above the door which looks like IW then a diamond shape and NG and 1710 underneath. It could be a 1 and it looks like a backwards N. Underneath that it has 'Rebuilt by Jn Murray 1822' (John Murray who i know about)
Any ideas? Thanks in advance :)
